Harley Davidson India lauched its range of products in India at the 2010 Auto Expo in New Delhi. It introduced one model from each of its five families starting from the street-based Sportster series to its premium touring model, the Roadking Classic. The bikes will be brought in via the CBU Import route.
The key highlight of the launch is the ultra-competitive pricing of the bikes. While the current crop of CBU imports costs well over Rs. 10 lakh, the starting range of Harley Davidson motorcycles that includes the 883 Sportster, will retail at Rs. 6.95 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The most expensive model will be the grand tourer, the Roadking, which is priced at Rs. 34 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). To celebrate teh company’s entry into India, the company has also introduced a special edition Fatboy model that is painted in the Indian tricolour livery.
I visited the Auto Expo today and I must tell you that that is the most awesum bike I have ever seen!
Cudn’t agree more…as even I saw it at the expo today…It is Undoubtedly the best we have in India!
