iPed – the Android based chinese iPad clone

Watch out the leading tablet players – iPad, ADAM, Dell Streak and JooJoo – the iPed is here.

iPed is a tablet that comes in an almost similar box as that of iPad but the biggest difference between the two (along with an ‘a’ replaced with an ‘e’ in the name) is the price. It costs only $105 – approximately five times less than Apple’s original, the iPad but you can only buy it in China.

The similarities aside, the iPed is way inferior when it comes to the features, it is based on an Intel chip, as 128 MB of RAM and 16 GB of storage space. Although it runs on Android, but the video below gives a view that the iPed is really slow.

But, an important point to note here is that the iPad is not available in China as yet and at about a $100, iPed is not a bad option for the consumers wanting an Apple like experience. Let’s see how the consumers respond to the iPed!
