Sleek, sexy and environment friendly…the PUMA smartphone!

Sagem and Puma have unveiled the sports-clothing company’s first mobile phone – a phone that looks really stylish, comes with some great features and is environment-friendly as well.

Let’s get to the key features: the dimensions are 102 x 56 x 13 mm and it weighs 115 grams. Then you have a 2.8 inches QVGA touchscreen, a 3.2 Mega Pixel Camera with LED flash, a solar panel with charge indicator. This means that your device will charge whilst on the go and are not required to carry your charger  along with you.The phone has 7.2 Mbps HSDPA and 2.9 Mbps HSUPA, a 880 mAh Li-Ion battery that’s good for 350 hours of standby and 5 hours of talk time and 24 hours of music playback. On the connectivity, it has Bluetooth 2.1 with EDR, a 3.5mm audio jack, micro USB port, GPS support and a micro SD card slot.

That is not all; the PUMA phone also has loads of sporty features – a run tracker, a pedometer, a bike speedo and a sailing compass. For the people who love music on the go – the phone has a music player, FM Radio and a stopwatch.

Check out the demo of this power-packed and awesome looking smart phone (below)

The phone will hit the European markets this April. I’m pretty sure that it will be a huge hit in India as well. Hopefully the company is reading and we will see it in India soon!

    Although the phone looks quite a handfull to all the gadget freaks out there, we still need to keep our fingers crossed as PUMA has come out with a completely different product as compared to what its core business (sports apparel) is. Although it has tied up with SAGEM which is a mobile phone manufacturer, still let’s wait for how mobile biggies like NOKIA & MOTOROLA react to this product. Watch the mobile space for new wars….:)

    These phones look amazing…

  13. Samsung too has a high end solar panel charger at the back phone. Doesn’t seem to be available in India though. Wonder why not?… puma phone looks good but don’t think it will get much traction here in India unless it has a killer price tag on it!

  14. vishalgaba

    @Bernice – Thank you 🙂

    @Rahul – Yes, they do!

    @Nishant – Yes, Samsung phones havnt done too well…I think the Puma phones are feature heavy and should do well in India as and when they are launched!

  15. These puma phone look amazing. I would really like to know how accurate the pedometer is as I have just lost mine and I also need a new phone so this might be the perfect product
